Jeremy Chamberlain, MS Owner & Head Trainer – Ozark Bottoms K9 Academy, LLC

Jeremy Chamberlain, MS is the Owner and Head Trainer of Ozark Bottoms K9 Academy, LLC, bringing over 20 years of professional dog training experience working with all breeds and temperaments. His training philosophy focuses on clear communication, structure, and building reliable dogs for both real-world life and competitive environments. Jeremy began his dog training journey in 2002 with his German Shepherd, Apollo, through a training club in Springfield, Missouri. What started as basic obedience quickly grew into a passion for learning the science, theory, and application of dog training. He went on to attend and assist in classes, participate in seminars, and study a wide range of training methods, allowing him to develop a well-rounded, balanced approach. Throughout his career, Jeremy has trained dogs for family companionship, service work, hunting and gun dog training, AKC programs (Star Puppy, CGC, CGCA, CGCU), competitive obedience, Rally Obedience, conformation, scent work, detection, protection, and advanced obedience through titled competition levels. His goal is to produce confident, obedient, and dependable dogs while educating handlers to succeed long after training is complete. From 2008 to July 2023, Jeremy co-owned Chaland’s All Dogs Academy, LLC. In July 2023, he opened Ozark Bottoms K9 Academy, LLC, continuing his commitment to providing high-quality, results-driven training in the Ozarks. In 2017, he helped establish the Ozark Working Dog Club, supporting working and sport dog teams in the region. Jeremy holds numerous professional credentials, including AKC Star Puppy, CGC, and Trick Dog Evaluator (since 2016), AKC Temperament Test Judge (since 2019), and National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors (NADOI) Certification (since 2020). He earned his Bachelor of Science from Drury University in 2015 and his Master of Science from Webster University in 2018. Jeremy is proud to serve clients throughout the Ozarks and beyond, offering world-class companion, working, sport, and hunting dog training with a focus on lasting results and strong handler-dog relationships.

AKC S.T.A.R Puppy Program

AKC Star Puppy® Classes The AKC Star Puppy® program is the perfect starting point for young dogs and new owners. At Ozark Bottoms K9 Academy, LLC, this class is designed to build a strong foundation in obedience while teaching owners how dogs learn and communicate. During this course, handlers learn essential dog training theory, including timing, consistency, and the use of clear marker signals to effectively communicate with their dog. This education empowers owners to continue successful training at home and beyond the classroom. Throughout the class, dogs will develop key foundational skills such as: • Staying off unwanted items or people • Sit, Down, and Stand • Stays, and Come. Focus and engagement with their handler • Place command for structure and boundaries • Reliable Come when called • Loose-leash walking Beyond obedience, the AKC Star Puppy class helps puppies gain confidence, improve impulse control, and build a positive working relationship with their owner. Upon successful completion, dogs are prepared to earn their AKC Star Puppy® title and are well on their way to future training, including CGC and advanced obedience programs. This class sets the groundwork for a lifetime of good manners, communication, and success.

AKC Canine Good Citizen

The AKC Canine Good Citizen® (CGC) program is the gold standard for building a well-mannered, reliable companion dog. This class focuses on real-life obedience, impulse control, and polite behavior in everyday situations. AKC CGC Advanced (CGCA) & CGC Urban (CGCU) The AKC CGC Advanced (CGCA) and CGC Urban (CGCU) classes are designed to take obedience beyond the basics and into real-world, high-distraction environments. These programs focus on reliability, confidence, and control in everyday situations. Jeremy was absolutely wonderful with training our German Shepherd. Communication was always promp and complete from the beginning. From helping me decide which training option would work best, to being very flexible with drop off and pick up. I got updates, pictures, and videos of Eddies progress throughout the entire 2 week Board and Train. Seeing Eddie respond so well with Jeremy and then with us when he got home was amazing. i definately recommend Jeremy and Ozark Bottoms K9 Academy to anyone who needs training for their pup.
